Update: Emailing companies...

Hey,

So I've recently emailed a company that sells shirts and other items of clothing, in the hope of a single donation of an item of clothing, with which I can wear in the rainforest and take a picture wearing it, to then post on social media and help promote the company itself and to help promote travel for young students etc.

Personally, I believe it's a brilliant idea, so I hope, if I can get some more donations, I can really help the companies and increase their popularity and overall sales, which is what I intend to do!

I hope things work out, and I hope I can actually get some sort of WiFi signal whilst in the base camp (one of my teachers mentioned a generator that might be able to be a router as well).

Random Things I'll need when travelling through Honduras!

Hey guys,

So I've been back to my research and I thought I'd share a few things I've notice come up a bit!

1) Earplugs! It gets loud overnight and especially loud during the nocturnal hours within the rainforest! I'm not an easy sleeper, so having some version of quiet will help!

2) Sunscreen! I wasn't particularly surprised to see this crop up a lot, but I don't usually take notice of it, because, strangely enough, I don't burn unless under extreme heat, and that rarely comes across, seeing as when I was in Egypt during the summer months (40-50 degrees every day), I didn't burn! This, however, I'll bring anyway, just in case.

3) A Flashlight! A high-powered flashlight will help me pick out and see any weird-looking creatures during the night! Also, for bat-watching etc!

4) Travel Alarm Clock! Quite weird, seeing as we'll be getting up at 6am Honduran time (1pm here) and alarm clocks will wake everyone up at once, and I'll get shouted at for it. So maybe an alarm clock that I can plug into headphones that'll only wake me up!

And finally:

5) Travel Money Belts and Hidden Money Gadgets etc! This will help massively, seeing as Honduras is a world renown place for crime such as theft and murder, so hiding my money in my belt will help me survive the three days in San Pedro Sula (Murder Capital of the world)!

Update: Vaccines!

I got my vaccines done!

I got my Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B done, but need to return each month until June to finish off my Hepatitis B immunity!

I've got a letter of recommendation about anti-malarial tablets (Chloroquine) and I'm finally glad I'm nearly all sorted for going!

Update: Family visited Honduras!

Now back to Honduras!

My family, who live in the Cayman Islands (situated in the Caribbean), have just been and got back from a holiday resort in Honduras! They described it as simply beautiful and well worth going, and it's made me even more excited about going (except the jetlag I'll be suffering, which they don't need to worry about)!

Here's some photos that they took!

It looks amazing!!! I can't wait to see how beautiful it is, with my own eyes!

Apologies!

Sorry about the extreme lack of posts!

I've been given work experience at Cargill, a well-known company that provides food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and services to the world, and so I've been going through some things about the company.

I've also got tons of revision to do, seeing as I'm resitting a lot of modules and doing my A2's at the same time, in three very large and extensive subjects.

I've got posts lined up and ready to publish soon!
